If you’ve been hoping to score a GMC Terrain Denali trim at Jim Causley Buick GMC, you’re in luck. After a short absence during the 2020 model year, this luxurious Terrain variant is returning to production again for 2021.
The Denali trim is the most upscale version of the Terrain that you can buy here in Clinton Township. It’s easy to tell right away that you’re in the presence of a Terrain Denali — it stands out in a big way with a gleaming grille design, touches of exterior chrome, bright roof rails, LED headlamps, and 19-inch machined aluminum wheels with gray-painted accents.
The Terrain Denali is loaded with premium features to make your travels more comfortable. A hands-free programmable power liftgate, leather-trimmed seats with unique stitching, a heated steering wheel, and a Bose® audio system are just a few of the amenities you can expect.
The Terrain Denali also comes standard with the GMC Pro Safety Plus package, which includes nine advanced driver-assist features to keep you and your loved ones protected on the go.
Under the hood, the Terrain Denali is propelled by a 170-horsepower 1.5-liter turbo engine paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. An exclusive Denali Premium Suspension with Enhanced Shock Control provides an exceptionally smooth ride on Michigan roads.
GM’s innovative hands-free Super Cruise technology is coming to the GMC Sierra 1500 Denali luxury pickup truck for the 2022 model year. GMC has confirmed that the feature will be available later on in 2021.
The Super Cruise system is a partially self-driving system that combines Adaptive Cruise Control, lane-centering technology, cameras that read road signs, and an expansive map of over 200,000 miles of highway across the U.S. to steer for you on compatible roads.
Even though it’s in control of the vehicle, Super Cruise still requires the driver to keep their eyes on the road. The feature is designed to sense if you stop looking, and automatically switches back to driver control in a dangerous situation or if the road becomes unfit for using Super Cruise. For instance, if you get to a stretch of road with faint lane markers that Super Cruise can’t read, you’ll need to take over driving.
The GMC Sierra 1500 Denali will be the first Super Cruise-equipped vehicle that lets you drive hands-free with a trailer attached. GMC has always worked to make trailering easier for every kind of driving, from daily commuting and work hauling to embarking on a weekend adventure. The addition of Super Cruise to the already premium Denali trim makes towing more convenient than ever.
If you’re looking for a new truck to take on an off-roading adventure near Clinton Township, Michigan, we always recommend the GMC Canyon. Its AT4 trim is perfectly designed for conquering muddy bogs and sandy dunes. And if you want something even better than perfect, GMC offers a brand-new Off-Road Performance Package for the 2021 Canyon AT4. Here’s a look at the best off-road enhancements and features offered on this capable version of the latest GMC Canyon at Jim Causley Buick GMC Truck.
Extra protection from rubble
The Canyon AT4 Off-Road Performance Edition adds extra aluminum plates to the undercarriage to shield its mechanical components from damage. Now you can cross rocks and logs without worrying about the lower engine or axle.
For better balance on rough trails, the enhanced AT4 uses a suspension leveling kit that increases ride height by one inch. Now it accomplishes a greater approach angle for increased clearance over off-road obstacles.
Massive performance wheels
The Canyon AT4 utilizes a fine-tuned four-wheel-drive system that sends power to each wheel as needed to keep the truck rolling. Each wheel is wrapped in a 31-inch Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac™ tire boasting deep tread and resistance to punctures.
If you’re ready to start your off-road adventures this new year, come to our GMC dealership in Clinton Township and ask about the 2021 GMC Canyon AT4.

Have you ever felt alienated by the automotive industry’s stubborn refusal to stray from the traditional linear forward and reverse modes of transportation we’ve come to expect from our vehicles for over a century? If so, you might want to sit down and prepare yourself, because General Motors has some exciting news for you: the all-new GMC Hummer is set to rattle the market to its very core with an all-new crabwalk mode.
Before you get too excited, don’t expect that the all-electric Hummer’s crabwalk mode will let you use the super-SUV as an amphibious vehicle, or that it has extendable pincers for dealing with jerks who cut you off in traffic. The Hummer’s crabwalk mode offers four-wheel steering that allows the driver to control both the front and the rear wheels.
Traditional steering columns only control the front wheels, while the rear wheels simply trail behind. With GMC’s innovative new crabwalk mode, both sets of wheels turn, which allows the new Hummer to travel diagonally. This feature will be especially useful when traveling through tricky terrain on the trail or when you’re looking to spice up your commute by striking awe in onlookers.
Even though the new Hummer hasn’t made it to the lot of Jim Causley Buick GMC Truck just yet, you can crabwalk your way over to one of our sales associates to reserve yours today.
Four Buick models already boast a built-in Amazon Alexa™ feature, allowing drivers to access information, ask questions, and get directions on the go. This innovative collaboration between Buick and Amazon was on full display in a recent promotional campaign.
The late August to mid-September promotion ran across several platforms and in a virtual showroom on Amazon, where the phrase, “Alexa™, tell me about Buick SUVs” was said for the first time. Buick is the only automaker to have a custom utterance from the interface.
The campaign served dual purposes — to highlight the collaboration between the retail giant and Buick and inspire people to see Buick in a new light.
“Getting people to think differently about Buick is a motivation behind everything we do. We are a brand that’s not afraid to take risks and have some fun,” said Buick Advertising/Media Operations manager Kate Hrabovsky.
The campaign was aptly timed to showcase the all-new 2021 Buick Envision, an SUV overflowing with cutting-edge tech, comfort amenities, and athletic design. It’s also the latest model to deliver the convenience of Amazon Alexa™ to drivers. The 2020 Buick Encore GX and 2020 Enclave also feature the connectivity tech, as do the 2018 LaCrosse and 2018 Regal.
According to Hrabovsky, this is not the last time Buick and Amazon will team up; more initiatives and projects are in the works.
The auto industry is full of major studies and awards that evaluate a vehicle’s power, popularity, or overall quality. But only one evaluates automakers and vehicles on how much joy they bring their owners, and that’s the J.D. Power Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout, or APEAL, awards.
The vice president of automotive quality at J.D. Power has said that the goal of automakers should be delighting customers and meeting their needs. Some of them are better at that than others. And that’s what the APEAL Study measures.
GMC received third place among the mass-market brands surveyed. Ranking third sounds like less of a win, but look at the results. GMC was higher than Chevrolet and Buick, both General Motors brands, and well surpassed other competitors like Ford, Toyota, Honda, and Nissan.
The J.D. Power study also found that the GMC Sierra HD was one of the highest-ranked models in its segment. It’s easy to see why. The 2020 GMC Sierra HD has impressive power numbers, with 18,510 pounds of towing on the 2500HD and a massive 35,500 pounds on the 3500HD. In addition to this, the Sierra HD now has the off-road technology of the AT4 trim.
You can experience the satisfaction of the Sierra and other GMC vehicles for yourself by scheduling a test drive at Jim Causley Buick GMC Truck today.
The 2021 Buick Envision is a stylish new daily driver that is set to arrive at dealerships early in 2021. Amid growing anticipation for the model, Buick unveiled the luxury SUV’s interior, which proves to be as elegant as its exterior.
The cockpit of the 2021 Envision is well designed with identical door handles and an evenly split center armrest/storage console. The center console is aimed towards the driver’s seat so you can more easily view the infotainment system during the drive. As such, staying connected to loved ones with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ is noticeably easier.
On the dashboard, the instrument panel and touch screen are in the top hemisphere, while controls for the vehicle and climate settings are underneath. Not only is this division convenient, but it also has a refined design with graceful curves and striking lines.
Available Jazz Black and Ivory White color options give the SUV a more sophisticated look. Furthermore, the 2021 Envision also features a large dual-pane moonroof, which lets additional sunlight into the cabin and provides excellent views of your surroundings.
At Jim Causley Buick GMC Truck, we look forward to adding the 2021 Buick Envision to our inventory. Give us a call if you’d like to be informed when this new luxury SUV will make its way to Clinton Township, Michigan.
The ever-popular Buick Encore remains the anchor of an SUV and crossover lineup that now includes its larger sibling, the Encore GX, and all-new 2021 Envision. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the 2021 Encore remains a bedrock when it comes to safety as well, earning its 5-Star Safety Rating in its New Car Assessment Program.
NHTSA determines a vehicle’s safety score based on how it performs in several crash tests, including frontal, side, and rollover testing. For the Encore, it was five stars across the board in the former two categories. The 2021 Buick Encore earned perfect marks in the front driver-side, front passenger-side, front and rear side barrier, and side pole crash tests. In rollover testing, the Encore earned a solid four-start score with a low risk for rollover.
Better still, the 2021 Buick Encore is available with two of NHTSA’s recommended safety technologies: forward collision warning and lane departure warning. The Encore is available with driver-assistive technologies like Forward Collision Alert, Side Blind Zone Alert, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, making it an all-the-more sound and safe choice for families.
The 2021 Buick Encore is coming very soon to Jim Causley Buick GMC in Clinton Township, Michigan, where it will join the all-new 2021 Envision and the first-ever Encore GX. If you’re ready to step up your game with a new vehicle, contact our dedicated sales staff and we’ll put you on the path to excitement.
