Buick Envision Shines in 2021 J.D. Power Dependability Study

If you’re considering going with a pre-owned Compact SUV, check out the 2018 Buick Envision. This model dominated its segment in the 2021 J.D. Power Dependability Study.

Now in its 32nd year, the J.D. Power Dependability Study ranked three-year-old vehicles in terms of their reliability. Evaluators rated each vehicle based on the number of owner-reported problems per 100 vehicles. So, models with lower scores indicated a higher level of dependability.

As an overall brand, Buick secured fifth place due its score of PP100. And for the Compact SUV segment, the 2018 Buick Envision achieved better reliability scores than rivals such as the Subaru Forester and Toyota RAV4. Per GM Authority’s Sam McEachern, the Subaru and Toyota models came in third and second places, respectively.
