The 2021 GMC lineup will introduce the off-road AT4 trim to several new vehicles, including the Terrain small SUV, the Canyon small truck, and the Yukon large SUV. The AT4 trim will continue to be available on the mid-size Acadia SUV and the Sierra full-size truck line.
The decision to add the AT4 trim to more GMC vehicles was an easy one, thanks to year-over-year increases in AT4 sales. Off-road capability is one of the most sought-after qualities in SUVs and trucks today, and the AT4 adds a wide range of smart off-roading features.
Across the lineup, the AT4 trim adds a suspension lift for higher ground clearance, making uneven terrain safer and easier to navigate. AT4 vehicles also come with special skid plates, shocks, and all-terrain tires.
In addition to off-road parts, the AT4 makes some available features standard, like the MultiPro™ Tailgate on the Sierra 1500 and Sierra HD pickup truck, which can open in various configurations, and up to 15 camera views that provide better visibility for tricky terrain.
The AT4 trim is also distinguished by its rugged design upgrades. With highlights like a black chrome grille, light surrounds, appliques, and unique interior fabric colors, you can customize your AT4 to your preferences.

Highly Capable: As with all variants of the 2020 GMC Sierra 1500, the 3.0-liter Turbo-Diesel engine is built for power. The engine has the capability to tow up to 9,100 pounds and is rated to carry up to 1,830 pounds of payload.
